PubMed, the Internet portal of biomedical and life sciences literature, indexed an interesting article, entitled Castleman’s disease – a rare disease of lymph nodes (J Coll Physicians Surg Pak. 2006 Jan;16(1):74-5). Authors are Zakuillah M, Khan Z, Qureshi R et al. from the Department of Family Medicine, The Aga Khan University Hospital, Karachi. Castleman’s disease is a rare disorder of unknown etiology and different clinical manifestations, occurring in young adults (usually prior to age 30 years). Authors present one case who was a 16 years old male with abdominal pain, weight loss, cervical lymph adenopathy and hepatosplenomegaly.
