Epidermolysis Bullosa – Bulgaria

The 4th workshop of the Association Epidermolysis Bullosa – Bulgaria (AEBB), took plase on 30 September 2006 in town of Pleven. It was organized in cooperation of the Clinic of Dermatology and Venerology, University Hospital, Pleven. Patients who suffer in this inherited genetic disorder, epidermolysis bullosa and their families from all the country, medical specialists in dermatology, genetics, peadiatrics, general practitioners attended the meeting. The aim of the meeting was to establish contacts among patients, their families and medical profesionals, to give information on the aetiology, pathogenesis, clinical feathures and diagnosis of this desiese to doctors who work in diferent medical specialities. A representative of ICRDOD was also among the guests of the meeting. On behalf of the members of AEBB and their sympathyzers a Declaration was approved and sent to the Ministry of Health, the Director of the NHIF and the Director of the Bulgarian Medical Association, expressing the importance of on-time diagnosis and treatment for patients with EB.
