We extend our sincere appreciation to Prof. Oleg Kvlividze for his congratulatory address and for recognizing the significant work of the Institute for Rare Diseases on the occasion of our 20th anniversary. This significant event will be celebrated at the XV National Conference on Rare Diseases and Orphan Drugs, taking place on September 13-14, 2024, in Plovdiv. His acknowledgment is deeply valued and highlights our steadfast dedication to advancing research and enhancing care for patients with rare diseases.
Prof. Oleg Kvlividze was awarded PHD degree in Medicine from Tbilisi State Medical University in 2008. Since 2001 he is an executive director at National Center of Dermatology and Venereology, and since 2009 – founder and CEO at Georgian Foundation for Genetic and Rare Diseases (GeRaD). He was EURORDIS adviser in the framework of EUROPLAN 2 project (France) in 2012-2016 years, and in 1990-2001 Researcher at Dermatology Department at the Institute of Dermatology and Venereology (Tbilisi, Georgia). Since 2018, he has served as a Full Professor in the Department of Dermatology and Venereology at New Vision University, Tbilisi, Georgia.
