The Institute for Rare Diseases and the National Specialized Hospital for Active Treatment of Hematological Diseases in Sofia kicked off the new year with another successful joint project! We conducted a training program on biostatistics and applied epidemiology for doctoral students in hematology.
The team from the Institute for Rare Diseases – Prof. Rumen Stefanov, PhD, Assoc. Prof. Georgi Iskrov, and Georgi Stefanov, MD – shared their proven expertise and extensive experience in:
📌 strategic planning and epidemiology;
📌 development of epidemiological registries;
📌 designing and conducting surveys and observational studies;
📌 health technology assessment and biostatistics.
The training took place from January 10 to 12, 2025, in Sofia and concluded with participants successfully passing the final exam.
