ICORD’s Yukiwariso Declaration

The International Conference on Rare Diseases (ICORD) has officially launched the “Yukiwariso Declaration”. The flower Yukiwariso (Hepatica) is the chosen symbol for this position paper, to recognise Japan as the place this declaration was launched, and the special role of this rare and precious flower as a symbol of new life, as it breaks through the late winter snow in cold northern climates. The declaration once again explains the rare diseases problems and calls for world-wide policy and action plans to address these issues. The full text of the document is available on ICORD’s website.
