Health Technology Assessment for Rare Diseases

ICRDOD and the National Alliance of People with Rare Diseases are among the organisers of the workshop “Health Technology Assessment for Rare Diseases”, which will be held on 1 November 2012 in Sofia. The event is under the auspices of and hosted by the Healthcare Commission at the 41st National Assembly of Bulgaria.
The term “health technology assessment” (HTA) denotes any process of examining and reporting the properties of medical technology used in health care – safety, efficacy, indications and instructions for use, cost effectiveness, social, economic and ethical implications.
