Treatment of cryopirin-associated periodic syndromes

On 22 March 2007, a new orphan medicinal product was registered into the community register of orphan medicinal products under the EU orphan designation number 439. The active ingredient is recombinant human monoclonal antibody to human IL-1beta of the IgG1/K class for treatment of cryopirin-associated periodic syndromes (Familial Cold Urticaria Syndrome (FCUS), Muckle-Wells Syndrome (MWS), and Neonatal Onset Multisystem Inflammatory Disease (NOMID), also known as Chronic Infantile Neurological Cutaneous).
