On 3-4 April In Medical University Plvdiv will be held a conference “Pediatric Aspects of Autism in the Standard Medicine Paradigm”. It will gather experts in pediatrics, child neurology, psychiatry, psychology, pharmacology, toxicology, microbiology to exchange up-to-date information about this more and more common problem of child development.
Autism is not considered a disease, but a disorder. Its prevalence is constantly growing in the recent years and for Europe is 6 in 1000, outgrowing the definition for a rare condition. The experts are still discussing the contributing factors for autism as well as treatment options.
The event is organized by Medical University – Plovdiv, with the help of Bugarian Paediatric Association and Association for Child Neurology, Psychiatry and Psychology of Development. Young doctors, medical and psychology students, interns, pediatricians, neurologists, psychiatrists, general practitioners and psychologists are invited to attend the conference.
