Neurosurgical treatment of Syringomyelia

National Association of Syringomyelia announced the initiation of neurosurgical treatment by Dr. Venelin Gerganov in Bulgaria. Prof. Gerganov graduated from Medical University – Sofia, then specialized in neurosurgery at the Neurosurgery Clinic at the Medical University, Sofia and at the International Neuroscience Institute in Hanover, Germany. He conducts additional specializations in the field of cranial base surgery, neuroendoscopy, minimally invasive and imaging neurosurgery (neuro navigation), and spinal / spinal surgery in Vienna, Austria, Germany and the United States. Currently, he is a senior physician (Leitender Oberarzt) at the International Neuroscience Institute in Hanover, Germany (Director Prof. M. Sammy) and Associate Professor of Neurosurgery at the Medical University, Hannover. Along with the consultative examinations, in May 2018 Dr. Gerganov will start and operate at the Neurosurgery Clinic of UMHALSM “Pirogov”.
